Website Support and Care Plans
Updates, security fixes, monitoring and a developer who knows your site, for Drupal, WordPress and custom sites, with a monthly statement of every hour.
iTech4Web looks after websites on any stack: Drupal 7 to 11, WordPress, custom and static sites. Every care plan covers security updates, uptime monitoring, backup checks and a set number of expert hours each month for fixes, changes and questions. Drupal 7 no longer gets security releases, so on Drupal 7 sites we keep things running and make fixes, and we recommend an upgrade for security. At the start of each month you get a statement of every hour we spent. Drupal website support is where we have the most depth. Many clients come to us after their previous developer left: we take the site over, stabilize it and keep it running.
What Drupal website support includes
The same care covers WordPress, custom and static sites. Your team keeps editing content, and we take care of the technical side.
Security updates
We apply core, module, plugin and theme updates, including security releases, on a staging copy first and check the site after each one.
Uptime monitoring
Our uptime monitoring checks every site on a plan and alerts us when it stops responding.
Backups that restore
We check your host's backups and keep our own backups on our servers. Once a quarter we test a restore, so we know a backup will work when you need it.
Fixes and small changes
Plan hours cover bug fixes, form and integration problems, layout tweaks and small new features.
A developer who knows your site
When your team has a question, someone who works on your site answers it in plain language.
Monthly hours statement
At the start of each month you get a written statement of the hours used, and you can see our time tracking whenever you like.
No surprise invoices
We never go past your plan's hours without your written yes, and an email is enough.
Your site stays yours
Code, content, hosting and domain accounts stay in your name unless we agree otherwise. We document access, so you are never locked in.
Hosting on our servers, with SSL, server updates and backups, starts at $360 a year. It is available to clients on a care plan.
Care plans with expert hours every month
Each plan combines a fixed care fee with expert hours. The care fee covers updates, uptime monitoring, backups and the monthly statement, so routine care never uses your hours. Plans differ in the number of hours and in how quickly we respond.
Essentials
For small sites that rarely change. Everything in "What's included", plus 1 hour of expert time a month. First response within 1 business day. Paid annually: $2,328 a year (3% off).
Standard
For sites that need fixes and small changes every month. Everything in Essentials, with 5 hours of expert time a month instead of 1, and a check-in call once a quarter. First response within 1 business day. Paid annually: $5,700 a year (5% off).
Partner
For organizations that rely on their site and keep improving it. Everything in Standard, with 11 hours of expert time a month instead of 5. First response the same business day. Paid annually: $10,260 a year (10% off).
Prices are per site, for a site of standard size. Larger sites and multisites get a quote after the free site review. The discount for paying a year in advance grows with the plan: 3% on Essentials, 5% on Standard and 10% on Partner. A monthly plan can be cancelled with 15 days' notice. If you need more than 20 hours a month or have several sites, we offer individual terms on a custom plan. Get in touch. Major upgrades and redesigns are quoted separately.
How website support works
Site review
We get access and check versions, modules or plugins, custom code, hosting, backups and security. You get a short list of what needs attention. The review is free.
Setup
We turn on uptime monitoring, set up our own backups, bring updates current and make sure your accounts are in your name, unless we agree otherwise.
Monthly care
Updates and security releases go out, and your requests use the plan's hours.
Monthly statement
At the start of each month you get the hours used against your plan, plus anything that needs a decision, such as an upcoming upgrade.
Support for Drupal, WordPress and custom sites
Drupal 7 to 11
Core and contributed module updates, Composer and configuration management, custom modules, multilingual sites, and Drupal 7 sites past end of life. Our team includes Acquia-certified developers.
WordPress
Core, plugin and theme updates, plugin conflicts, speed problems and server moves, for content sites and publications.
Custom and static sites
Custom PHP applications and static sites, including the servers, PHP versions and deploys behind them.
Headless and other platforms
Headless front ends and other CMSs. We review the stack first and tell you whether we are the right team for it.
Drupal 7 support after end of life
Drupal 7 reached end of life on January 5, 2025, and drupal.org no longer publishes security releases for it. Many sites still run it: W3Techs counted Drupal 7 on 29.1% of Drupal websites in October 2026.
We keep your Drupal 7 site running and fix what breaks while you plan the upgrade. The care plan does not cover Drupal 7 security: for that, we recommend upgrading.
Keep it running
Bug fixes, small changes, uptime monitoring, backups, and PHP and server compatibility fixes, on the same care plan as any other site.
Plan the next step
We help you choose between upgrading to Drupal 11, moving to WordPress or holding on a little longer, and plan the work around your budget. See our Drupal upgrade services. If the site also needs a new look, we plan the upgrade and the redesign together.
Websites on our support plans
These organizations keep their websites on ongoing support with us: Drupal and WordPress sites, a Drupal platform with CiviCRM, and a Drupal 7 site.
Humanitarian Outcomes
A humanitarian research organization with data-heavy Drupal sites. After we moved them from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11, they renewed a yearly support plan for updates, fixes and server care. Read the case study
A US financial education nonprofit
We took over the nonprofit's Drupal 9 and CiviCRM platform from its previous agency, upgraded it to Drupal 10 and support it on a yearly plan. We also made CiviCRM full-text search 44 times faster, a fix that is now part of CiviCRM 6.19.
Consortium on Gender, Security and Human Rights
The consortium's public site runs on Drupal 7, with Solr search across a research hub, resource libraries, events, lectures and syllabi. We keep it running and have fixed issues in its taxonomy and topic pages, search, and event and lecture listings. Visit genderandsecurity.org
"They respond quickly, stay within the budget, and often provide really valuable insight on what can be improved."

Website support questions
What is a website care plan?
A website care plan is a monthly service that keeps a website updated, secure and working. Our plans cover security updates, uptime monitoring, backup checks and a set number of expert hours each month for fixes and changes, with a statement of hours at the start of every month.
What does Drupal website support include?
Drupal core and module updates including security releases, uptime monitoring, backup checks, bug fixes, small changes and answers to your team's questions, from developers who work with Drupal every day. We support Drupal 7 through Drupal 11. Drupal 7 no longer gets security releases, so on Drupal 7 sites we keep things running and make fixes, and we recommend an upgrade for security.
Do you support WordPress and other platforms?
Yes. We support WordPress, custom PHP and static sites, and headless front ends after a review. Drupal is where we have the most depth. The plans and the monthly statement are the same for every stack.
How much does website support cost?
Care plans start at $200 a month per site. Essentials costs $200 a month with 1 expert hour, Standard $500 with 5 hours and Partner $950 with 11 hours. Each price includes a fixed care fee for updates, monitoring, backups and the monthly statement. Paying for a year in advance saves 3% on Essentials ($2,328 a year), 5% on Standard ($5,700 a year) and 10% on Partner ($10,260 a year). Work beyond your plan's hours starts only after you approve it in writing. If you need more than 20 hours a month, we offer individual terms on a custom plan.
What if we need more work than our plan includes?
We tell you before we go over. Extra hours start only after your written yes, and an email is enough. Bigger projects, such as a major upgrade or a redesign, get their own quote.
Can you take over a site another developer built?
Yes. Many of our clients come to us after their previous developer left. We review the site, move access into your name unless we agree otherwise, and then the plan starts. If the site is badly broken, we first stabilize it as a separate project: see project takeover.
Our site is outdated. Should we keep supporting it or redesign it?
If the platform is current and the site does what you need, a care plan keeps it that way. If the platform is out of support, hard to edit or no longer fits how your organization works, a redesign or a new build usually makes more sense than patching it. The free site review tells you which one we recommend.
How quickly do you respond?
On Essentials and Standard, you get a first response within 1 business day. On Partner, you get it the same business day. Response times are counted in business days.
Can our team keep editing the site?
Yes. Your team keeps editing content as before, and we handle updates and technical work. We can train your staff, and with AI website editing your team can update pages by asking an AI assistant.
Do you host websites?
Yes, for clients on a care plan. Hosting on our servers starts at $360 a year and includes SSL, server updates and backups. If you would rather stay with your current host, we work with it.
Is Drupal 7 still supported?
Drupal 7 reached end of life on January 5, 2025, so drupal.org no longer publishes security releases for it. On a care plan we keep a Drupal 7 site running and make fixes, but the plan does not cover Drupal 7 security. For that, we recommend an upgrade: see our Drupal upgrade services.
What if we decide to leave?
You can cancel a monthly plan with 15 days' notice. Your code, content and accounts stay in your name unless we agreed otherwise. When you leave, we hand over the access list and documentation free of charge, and any other help with the move is billed by the hour.
